Premise, Plan, and Rules

Premise:
Two people with opposite political beliefs debate the perfect federal government.

Plan:
  1. Person 1 suggests an area of interest.
  2. Person 2 explains how their perfect government would act in the area of interest.
  3. Person 1 takes on the arguments from person 2, saying where they agree or disagree.
  4. Anarchy in the comments section.
  5. Maybe we all learn something or at least find the process interesting.
Rules:
  • The person presenting the perfect federal government gets to assume full dictatorial powers only in the area of interest. They do not need to worry about politics such as reelection or the other party undermining them in that area.
  • The rest of the world is the same. It is not utopia. In order to make a statement of how the public would respond, reasons for why they would respond are requested.
  • Try to avoid logical fallacies.
  • Be civil.
